" Children learn more from what you are than what you teach"

The 'child-parent' relationship has a major influence on most aspects of child development. When optimal, parenting skills and behaviours have a positive impact on children's self esteem, academic achievements, cognitive development and behaviour. Parenting the next "Generation Next” is an exciting, yet challenging task. A session on parenting skills was conducted for the parents at Bensons International Academy. The main objective was to create awareness amongst the parents on how to orient themselves to engage with the generation and assimilate the art of effective parenting. This interactive session named as "Know your child"- was an open platform for parents to express the challenges they face in the journey called 'Parenting'. A renowned personality in the field of medicine Dr. Anjeli Pandit, who is a counsellor and psychotherapist, was the speaker for this session. We were indeed blessed to have her as our facilitator as this session turned out to be very fruitful to the parents as well as the staff of Bensons International Academy because teachers at school take the place of parents.
